Come join fellow post-docs and enjoy some fresh air and sunshine at Temescal Canyon Loop in Pacific Palisades for a hike (about 4 miles long) on Sunday November 16th, 2008 from 9am - 12pm.
Feel free to bring your non-postdoc friends!!

When: Sunday, November 16th.
Time: 9:00am meet up, 9:15am start hike.
Where: Temescal gateway park, parking lot (15601 W Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90272; Please see Map 1 below)
Directions: From Santa Monica, drive north on Pacific Coast Highway 1 for 2.6 miles and turn right onto Temescal Canyon Rd, pass intersection with Sunset Blvd, the parking lot is on the left. From 405 exit to W Sunset, head east for 6 miles, pass intersection with Temescal Canyon Rd, the parking lot is on the right. (From UCLA, please see Map 2 below)
Parking: Temescal gateway park parking lot, north of the intersection of the Sunset Blvd. There may be a parking fee inside the park. Or find a curbside space in the commercial district of Pacific Palisades across Sunset Blvd.
Carpooling: If you need a ride or can provide one, please indicate that in your RSVP. We'll connect people up via email.
Look for: Anne (tall guy, dark-hair, blue UCLA shirt) or Ying's car (red, Dodge Neon).
Geocaching: If you want to put the GPS on your new iPhone to the test, there are a few geocaches to be found along the trail.

Other details: Bring snacks and at least a liter of water. Feel free to bring some post-hike treat to share with the group if you'd like to.
